These are a selection of frames from the camera tests I did for a short film I will be shooting this summer titled ‘Brothers and Sisters’. I wanted to go for a very low-contrast but high-saturation look, injecting a lot of blue into the shadows, often front lighting when I can with the sun. The film takes place over one day, a subplot of the film being how hot it is. So, I thought front lighting would help emphasize that, really helping the viewer feel the heat of the summer.
I used my 35mm Kodak 500T film stock emulation for this project, tweaking it to give this specific project a more signature look.
