I’m Ryan, and I’m a cinematographer. My lifelong passion for filmmaking led me to pursue formal education in film production, during which I participated in a variety of roles on productions, student short films, and personal projects.

My final student short film, ‘As We Were’, won ‘The Stanley Kubrick Award for Fiction’ at Visions Film Festival, which was a film festival my university hosted for all the final student short films created by my graduating class; ‘The Stanley Kubrick Award for Fiction’ was the award given to the best drama created that year. ‘As We Were’ then went on to be nominated for two awards at the RTS East Student Awards, Drama and Craft – Writing, winning the latter.

Currently, I work as a freelance cinematographer, colourist, and graphic designer. Also, I’ve recently started location marshalling on large-scale productions. My primary goal is to eventually become a camera trainee on these productions.
